August Service Delivery Advisory Group (SDAG) Meeting

The Service Delivery Advisory Group met with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities on Aug. 28.

The Employment Service Performance Management System presented by MTCU sets out the "service quality dimensions of success" which weigh effectiveness and customer service heavily against efficiency/funded activity. The agency's capacity and contractual compliance are understood to be the foundation of service delivery and will be assessed through a survey to be emailed out in the coming weeks to any agency that has a current active EAS and JC agreement with MTCU. It is important to demonstrate in the survey that the agency has the capacity to deliver the "full suite of employment services". The SDAG advised that a follow-up phone call be made by MTCU to each agency to provide support with the survey.

For more on this process, see MTCU's documents: Service Providers Capacity Assessment Framework and Process Outline: Assessing Service Providers' Capacity for Employment Service Delivery.

Agencies currently funded by MTCU and offering the full suite to a specific client target group (e.g. women), may be considered for continued funding if they can demonstrate a strong connection to the larger community and if the "demographics" of their area support the focus of their work.

For further information, contact your regional director or MTCU personnel.
